About the Book

This chord dictionary is for everyone. It requires no special knowledge of music theory. Guitar players or songwriters of any level can start using these brand new alternative chords immediately. Just check out the C chords in this book. If you like how they sound, there are 1,847 more of them!

Use them any way that you want. Play the chords in any order - any progression - any variation.

Move up or down the fingerboard to create 22,176 alternative chords.

These aren't traditional chords, but new colors to add to your music. Randomly choose chords from anywhere in the book. Use them to create new music or incorporate them into existing songs. There are no rules or boundaries.

As you play each chord, listen to its sound. Play it on a different fret and add (added note chords) or take away notes to create your own chords. Each one will lead you in a new direction.

The chords in this book are named for the way they're constructed. If you want to learn even more ways to use them, the book includes information on how this was done. This portion of the book is a springboard to even greater expansion of your abilities.

You don't have to look through all 166 pages before you can start using these great chords for your music. Just open the book. Pick something that looks interesting to you - and start on your journey to new sounds like you've never heard before.
